Finished project (3 years in the making)

This doesn't look like it should have been a 3 year project, but unfortunately it often takes me a while :)
I got the idea from a Pottery Barn catalog a long time ago. Then started collecting supplies for it. I couldn't get the moulding to line up in the corners so I let it sit for a year or so. My talented brother-in-law Josh fixed the corner problem and put it on the wall (thank you Josh!!) I painted it and it sat again with one empty frame for a long time. After seeing the cute photo display on my friend Angela's blog that she had assembled after less than 3 weeks after a move and finding out that her whole house was painted, cleaned, organized, decorated, etc. AND she's working on her outside landscape now I decided maybe I could get my act together and finish one project. I'm so glad I finally did! It feels great to have something completed. I think I'm ready to get some more "projects" crossed off my list.

Craft Day at Grandma E's

Ashley and Courtney really look forward to their annual craft day with Grandma Edington. They can hardly sleep the night before, Christmas. . . no problem. . . but craft day it's a different story. Grandma always has so many fun projects for them. They love the chance to spend the day with her, go to lunch, and hang out with cousins. They made these t-shirts and scarves.

Lunch at Pizza Hut. Great Grandma Deaver comes to craft day too!

The finished projects. Looks like they were busy! I don't know how they got so much done in one morning.
I'm glad the kids have Grandma's who spend time and make such fun memories with them!
And wow, "baking day" is almost here!

The other 3 trick-or-treaters

Dracula wanted it simple, no blood or dyed/slicked hair, no face paint. Simple works for me!

Original plan was to the the Queen of Narnia, but costume was too hot & itchy. One night she was a "dead Hannah Montana" with a large neck injury. Ended the season with "50's girl." It involved makeup and big earrings so Courtney was very happy.

"Aria" from the Eragon book series. She wanted to be this last year but it didn't work out. This year she'd been thinking of ideas for it for months and it all came together. She made the skirt herself.

Post Halloween sorting session #2. The morning after.
We had a great night. Spent time with good friends, enjoyed the neighbors fun decorations & perfect weather.
