Last night Tom and Courtney had a "Daddy/Daughter Date" for Activity Days. The girls had been wanting to do something with their Dad's for a long time. I was lucky enough to come since I am one of the Activity Day leaders, but I was under strict orders from Courtney not to interfere. :)
It was a "Crazy-mixed-up" evening. They wore mismatched clothes. Courtney added some silly wild make-up too (just so you know that this isn't her new/overdone "smokey-eyes" look) Appetizers were jello slurped through straws (makes a great noise!)
Dinner was spaghetti & meatballs. Each person chose a kitchen utensil (such as a whisk, pancake turner, tongs, etc.) that they had to eat with.

The Dad's were really good sports about the games. This was a contest to see how many Cheetos you could stick to your Dad's face in 30 seconds by throwing them after covering him in shaving cream. This game was a lot of clean-up--it didn't take the girl's long to realize throwing handfuls of Cheetos was much more efficient than one at a time. Next time we may have to revise this one a little.
They had to complete several tasks while tied together by their legs and wrists.
Here they are painting each other's nails. (Like I said--the Dad's were really good sports!--They even helped with the clean-up which made it go so fast--We were really grateful for that!)
looks like a lot of fun. i am so sad that the girls had to miss it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful memory will have of her sweet dad having fun with her. Too bad Tom didn't leave his polish on for our double date. That really would have classed things up!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what a wonderful evening. All of those activites to inclide eating dinner sounds like so much fun! Those are some great ideas for kids parties. I'm glad that they were able to enjoy each other with suhc bonding :)
